Players Suspended in Hounds-Puffer Fish Donnybrook Tuesday, August 16th , 2044 Pedro López of Hicksville and Jeff Morehead of Plattsburgh were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. López will have to miss 5 games for his part in the brawl, while Morehead was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. This season López is swinging the bat at a .261 rate with 92 hits in 352 at-bats. To date he has hit 7 home runs, scored 46 runs and driven in 40. In 17 starts this season, Morehead has recorded 6 wins and absorbed 5 losses. He has pitched 96 innings, allowed 96 hits, struck out 70 and has a 2.81 ERA. |
