The future looks extremely bright for António Sierra. At the age of 21, many players are still trying to find their way in USPL Rookie.

Sierra has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the USPL Rookie Most Valuable Player Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .303 this year, that's for sure," the center fielder said.

The Redwood Rhinos star also put up a .394 on-base percentage this year, with 105 hits, 28 doubles, 4 triples, 12 home runs, 57 RBIs and 67 runs scored.

He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Héctor García of the Hudsonville Flanderses finished second in voting, while Manuel Marín of the Ladue Rams finished third.
