Ahipene Records Shutout Against Angel Kitties Wednesday, August 31st , 2044 It wasn't easy but the Ladue Rams made it look that way. Starter Uhi Ahipene shut out the Bethlehem Angel Kitties despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Ladue Rams cruised to victory, 6-0. Ahipene allowed only 4 hits and rang up 5 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." On the season Ahipene has compiled a 5-6 mark with a 4.09 ERA in 11 starts. In pitching 66 innings he has 66 strikeouts and 19 walks while limiting the opposition to a .281 batting average.
