Kirkland Hurls Nuevo Mexico to Shutout Victory Friday, August 12th , 2044 The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis posted a 6-0 shutout over the Northville Eclipse today on the strength of a strong performance by Hunter Kirkland. The Mariachis pitcher held the Eclipse to 1 hit while walking 1 and fanning 4 in the route-going win. "It feels good to be wearing a Nuevo Mexico Mariachis uniform today," the right-hander said following the game. Presently Kirkland has a 10-4 mark in 17 starts with a 4.25 ERA.
