Hit Streak Now at 20 for Ayala Wednesday, August 3rd , 2044 Bartolo Ayala extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games today in the Ft. Polk South 11-7 triumph over the Olympia Ogres. The 22-year-old Thunder Hawks left fielder collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats. "Of course it's going to end," he said. "I'm just enjoying it until then." Bartolo Ayala flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and walked in the 8th. In the current season, Ayala has put up a .318 batting average with 88 hits, 9 home runs, 41 RBI and scored 50 runs. |
