Hernández, Solano Receive 3-Game Suspensions Sunday, June 19th , 2044 Tempers were flaring yesterday at Baby Thunder Dome. Both the Thunder and Fighting Imps were defending their turf. A few punches were thrown, but fortunately very few landed -- there was more wrestling than fighting. When the umpires sorted everything out, St. Petersburg's Tony Hernández and Ithaca's Paco Solano were ejected from the game. Today the league office suspended Hernández and Solano for 3 games each. Thus far this year Hernández has hit .216 with 2 home runs and 19 RBIs. Solano has nailed down 1 save for the year. He has also totaled 21 strikeouts and 6 walks in 19.1 innings while registering a 5.59 ERA and a 2-1 won-lost record. |
