Blalock Terrific, Takes SAA Outstanding Hitter Award Monday, October 10th , 2044 Will Blalock took USSL Double A by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 22. For his spectacular campaign, the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs star has been named the 2044 USSL Double A Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the right fielder. On the season he compiled a .341 batting average to go with a .444 on-base percentage. The native of Canton, Massachusetts also added 17 doubles, 6 triples, 6 home runs, 48 RBIs and 61 runs scored. He received 4 first place votes out of a possible 10. Paul Pitts of the Virginia Beach Whales finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Mike Williams of the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs finished third.
