Blimps de Vlaming Fails Test, de Vlaming Gets 80-Game Suspension Monday, September 26th , 2044 Bad news for reliever Eddie de Vlaming of the Akron Blimps. The league commissioner's office reported he has tested positive for a performance-enhancing substance and will be given a 80-game suspension. de Vlaming was not available for comment. However, the Blimps general manager said in a statement, "Our organization fully supports our league's drug policy, and we will do all we can to help Eddie get his career headed back on a positive course." This year de Vlaming has no saves in 32 relief appearances with a 2-0 record and 3.88 ERA. |
