No Late-Season Magic Coming: Akron Out of Playoffs Friday, September 16th , 2044 There will be no playoffs for the Akron Blimps this year. The Blimps have succumbed to mathematics, simply running out of games to get themselves into contention. Before this season, the Blimps last missed the playoffs in 2042. In the 29 years they have been a USSL Double A franchise, they have missed the playoffs 24 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 5 times. Akron last won the SL AA Championship in 2040. |
