SAA Player of the Week Goes to Taylor of Tacoma Monday, August 29th , 2044 23-year-old Irwin Taylor made a few Tacoma headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 13 at-bats to put up a .692 average. Taylor collected 1 home run, 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Looking at his season stats, Taylor has compiled a .321 batting average and a .424 on-base percentage, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 40 runs. |
