Dodson Hitless, Streak Ends at 20 Saturday, July 30th , 2044 Ryan Dodson's 20-game hitting streak was snapped today at Nationals Park. The 23-year-old Gwinnett Guinea Pigs right fielder failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats in the game against the Ottawa Nationals, but Gwinnett came out the winner, 4-1. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Ryan," Guinea Pigs manager Enrique Fuentes said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." In this current campaign Dodson is hitting at a .273 clip with 8 home runs and 37 RBIs. |
