Athletic Club KC Loses José Núñez, Will Miss Season Friday, June 10th , 2044 José Núñez of the Reserves just might have to call it quits for the season. The 25-year-old Athletic Club KC reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Tortolita Drummers recently at Drummers Ballpark. Núñez suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. The Reserves medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 12-13 months. This season Núñez has been credited with 1 save. In 13 relief appearances and 17.1 innings he has a 3-1 won-lost mark, a 6.23 ERA and 17 strikeouts. |
