Plymouth Pitcher Racks Up Outstanding Pitcher Award Saturday, October 8th , 2044 The Plymouth clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Raúl González will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2044 USPL Triple A Outstanding Pitcher Award. González made 23 starts this year, winning 9 and losing 5. He threw 155.2 innings, fanned 129, allowed 145 hits and 22 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .245 average as he logged an impressive 3.24 ERA. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Skip Walker of the Bakersfield Nobles finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Sixto Bustamante of the Alaskan Humpbacks finished third.
