Top PAAA Reliever Honored
Thursday, October 6th , 2044
At the age of 23, Skip Walker says he still has a lot to learn about life in USPL Triple A.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Bakersfield Nobles reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2044 USPL Triple A Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Manchester, New Hampshire native said.
For the season, Walker had 5 saves in 30 relief appearances, which totaled 84.1. He fanned 84 betters, while walking 26 and put up a record of 9-1 to go with his 2.13 ERA.
He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Manny Rodríguez of the Port Royal Disaster finished second in voting, while Tom Peña of the Norfolk Pajaritos finished third.
