Lynx Michael Knight Will Miss Season
Friday, May 27th , 2044
The doctors have spoken and Michael Knight of the Calgary Lynx didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Knight sustained his season-ending injury during the Salt Lake City Buzz game yesterday at Lynx Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Calgary medical staff reported Knight had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months.
To date this year Knight has fashioned a 1.06 ERA over 17 innings with a 0-0 record. He has made 10 relief appearances with 25 strikeouts and 1 save.
