Newell's Season Could be Over Monday, July 11th , 2044 Doctors in Austin said Adrian Newell might not play anymore this year. The Black Mambas reliever suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament during a game against the Salt Lake City Buzz and will be out for at least 12-13 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season. This season Newell has made 19 relief appearances, pitched 18.1 innings and struck out 16 with a record of 1 win and 3 losses. He has compiled a 5.40 ERA and saved 9 games. |
