3L's Best Pitcher is van der Meijden Tuesday, November 1st , 2044 Flamingos ace Yan van der Meijden is the latest Menard's Third League Outstanding Pitcher Award trophy winner. The Las Vegas star shined on the diamond time and again this year and finished with an outstanding 13-7 record. In 26 starts he tossed 166.1 innings, posted 113 strikeouts and sported a 3.25 ERA. Opposing batters hit .275 when van der Meijden was pitching. Juan Vias of the Panama City Piranhas finished second in voting, while Zhao-ji Qiu of the Vancouver Grey Wolves finished third. |
