Hollis 5-for-6 Against Oaks
Tuesday, September 13th , 2044
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Anthony Hollis today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at The Tank and paced the Piranhas to a 16-3 win over the Oakland Oaks.
After his dynamite batting performance, the Panama City shortstop told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."
His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Anthony Hollis singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
Thus far this season Hollis is hitting .284 with 8 home runs, 65 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has 106 hits in 373 at-bats and has played in 96 games.
