Mayo Packs a Wallop -- Hits 3 HR Against Oaks

Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Mathew Mayo discovered that today at Oakland Coliseum, as he smashed three home runs during the 23-1 Detroit Elite win over the Oakland Oaks.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Detroit first baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
Mayo finished the day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats and 10 RBIs.
Mathew Mayo hit a two-run home run off Jamie Hunter in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Nick Joseph in the 6th, walked in the 8th, walked in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Bertrand Pick in the 9th.
This season Mayo has hit at a .265 clip with 92 RBIs, 27 home runs and 59 runs scored.
