Cleveland Browns Ship Clendaniel to Long Island Thursday, July 7th , 2044 Several Browns and Lighthouse players soon will have to start shopping for a new home. It was announced today that the two teams came to agreement on a trade. Cleveland will get 20-year-old CF Carlos Velardes and 21-year-old RHP Eugene Phillips and Long Island will pick up 27-year-old LHP Nick Altrock and 29-year-old RHP Dewitt Clendaniel in return. "I'm not surprised by the news," one of the players told reporters, "It's part of the business and I understand that. I am looking forward to playing for the Browns." Cleveland will retain a portion of Altrock's remaining contract. Cleveland will retain a portion of Clendaniel's remaining contract. To date, his season stats show Clendaniel has 9 saves with a 0-1 mark and 2.87 ERA. |
