Davis Gets Award for Relief Work
Monday, September 26th , 2044
At the age of 22, Michael Davis says he still has a lot to learn about life in USSL Single A.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Athletic Club KC U-24 reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2044 USSL Single A Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Sunrise, Florida native said.
For the season, Davis had 5 saves in 39 relief appearances, which totaled 60.2. He fanned 86 betters, while walking 27 and put up a record of 5-2 to go with his 1.78 ERA.
He received 2 first place votes out of a possible 10. Domingo Galló of the Grim Reapers finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Eisaku Ishikawa of the Huntington Hermit Crabs finished third with 3 first place votes.
