3A Votes Yellows Sturge Top Player Monday, September 5th , 2044 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the M3L Single A, but last week Keaton Sturge of the Yucca Valley Yellows reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Sturge rocked opposing pitching for a .417 average (10-for-24), 2 home runs and 5 RBIs to come away with the award. This year Sturge has socked 61 hits in 282 at-bats for a .216 average with 6 home runs. He is getting on base at a .343 pace and his totals also include 39 RBIs and 44 runs scored. |
