Yossarian and Solís Suspended, Out 4 Games Thursday, September 15th , 2044 Today the league office handed out 4-game suspensions to John Yossarian of the Shredders and Javier Solís of the Kingfishers for their roles in a benches-clearing skirmish at The Hollywood Bowl yesterday. The league commissioner said in the statement to both organizations, "This league does not condone fighting and aggressive conduct on the field, thus we had to take action to discourage this behavior in the future." So far this season Yossarian is batting .234 with 14 home runs. This season he has made 20 relief appearances, collecting no saves. Solís has worked 44.2 innings, yielding 41 hits and giving out 10 free passes while striking out 41. He has a 3-0 record with a 2.62 ERA. |
