Rainbow Mermaids Lose Kikuchi for Season Monday, August 15th , 2044 Matsuta Kikuchi has to call it a season. The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids closer sustained a season-ending injury against the Boston Patriots and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Kikuchi was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as ulnar nerve entrapment and stated that he would not be able to play for 3 months. This year Northern Virginia reliever Kikuchi has made 31 relief appearances and has 14 saves. His record is 3-3 with 48 strikeouts in 31 innings and a 2.03 ERA. |
