Season Possibly Over for Wayne Compton Monday, August 8th , 2044 The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids were dealt a blow today when starting pitcher Wayne Compton left the game with an undisclosed injury. The team has now revealed that Compton has suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and will most likely miss the rest of the season as a result of the injury. This season in 18 starts Wayne Compton has a record of 8-3 with 91 strikeouts in 105.1 innings and a 3.84 ERA. |
