Allen Lights Out in Shutout Win Sunday, August 9th, 2043 The Flint Crush shut out the Moose Jaw Canucks 7-0 today behind the strong pitching of Joe Allen. Allen surrendered only 5 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 5. Following the last out, Allen appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Moose Jaw manager Bobby Davis, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Allen's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart. The Canucks skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Crush press conference, Allen confirmed that it was regarding the celebration. "He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Allen said. "And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Flint manager Steve Bryan added.
