Zero Hour: van Dam Blanks Crush Monday, August 3rd, 2043 In an outstanding mound performance, Bompton Baby Lakers starter Ronnie van Dam fired a complete-game shutout against the Flint Crush at Flint Park today. van Dam was the key to the Baby Lakers's 9-0 win. The 17-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 3 hits and 1 walk he allowed. "3 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." This year van Dam has a 8-4 mark in 16 starts with a 3.12 ERA.
