Interns End Son's Streak Friday, May 29th, 2043 The Shady Side Zoomies lost to the Capital Hill Interns 8-7 today at Terriers Ballpark, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Kyung-chul Son's 21-game hitting streak. The right fielder went 0-for-5 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Son, we would win the game," Interns manager Bill Callahan explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." So far on the season Son is hitting .323 with 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 31 hits and played in 22 games. |
