Top Pitcher Award Announced by SR Tuesday, September 29th, 2043 This year there was no one better on the mound than Vladsislas Meierhold. Posting 11 wins and a 2.22 ERA was only part of the story for the Capital Hill superstar. For his outstanding performance in 2043 he was chosen as the USSL Rookie Pitcher of the Year Award winner. From start to finish Meierhold never let up. In 22 starts he recorded 11 wins and 4 losses, 149.2 innings, 194 strikeouts, 35 walks, yielded 105 hits, and permitted opposing batters to hit .196 against him. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Bernard Miller of the Beaumont Crossbeaus finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Tom Thornton of the Capital Hill Interns finished third.
