Saikawa Keeps Hit Streak Alive Saturday, July 25th, 2043 The hitting streak for Quebec City first baseman Matsusuke Saikawa now stands at 20 games, but the Baby Blues dropped today's contest 4-3 to the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish. Saikawa went 1-for-4 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 1 hit and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Matsusuke Saikawa hit a two-run home run off Jesús Ríos in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Saikawa has a .264 average and a .289 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 68 hits, 5 home runs and driven in 29 runs. |
