Quebec City's Mata to Miss Season Monday, July 20th, 2043 Arlen Mata of the Baby Blues just might have to call it quits for the season. The 21-year-old Quebec City reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Beaumont Crossbeaus recently at The Target. Mata suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Baby Blues medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 8 months. His stats sheet for the year shows Mata has managed to hold opponents to a .119 average in 23 relief appearances, while putting up 5-1 record with 53 strikeouts and 8 walks in 35.1 innings. He has a 0.76 ERA with no saves. |
