Star of the Week Named in PAA Monday, July 13th, 2043 27-year-old Andy Hicks made a few Ithaca headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USPL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 15 at-bats to put up a .533 average. Hicks collected 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 4 runs. In 55 games this year Hicks has posted a .248 average and put up these numbers: 8 home runs, 40 RBIs and 24 runs scored. |
