Thunder Captures Wild Card Wednesday, September 16th, 2043 For the St. Petersburg Thunder, it's not how you start, but how you finish. That's the mantra the team is following after today qualifying for the playoffs. "We may be going into the playoffs as a wild card team, but we plan to finish the playoffs as champions," said catcher John Crosby. "There's no shortage of confidence from guys in our clubhouse." With a record of 61-38, there will of course be teams with better track records in the postseason. But team manager Emílio Sáenz said his club has "infinite optimism" that they can win the franchise's 4th USPL Double A championship. |
