Great Week for Gulf Coast's Rafael Villa Monday, June 15th, 2043 So far in his young career, Rafael Villa has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Gulf Coast Turbeaus second baseman hit at a torrid .556 clip as he collected 10 hits in 18 at-bats, no home runs, 4 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Presently Villa is batting .319 with 30 hits and no home runs. He has knocked in 9 runs and scored 15 times. |
