Randy Moore Strokes 3 Home Runs Tuesday, May 12th, 2043 Today was a special one for Randy Moore of the Gulf Coast Turbeaus as he slammed three home runs in the 17-14 win over the Virginia Beach Whales. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Gulf Coast center fielder collected 4 hits in 7 at-bats, drove in 9, and scored 3 runs in the contest at Virginia Beach Grounds. Randy Moore hit a three-run home run off Ronald Fritz in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, struck out in the 9th, hit a solo-shot off Calvin Blackburn in the 12th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Bu-wei Zhenya in the 13th. |
