June's Pitcher of the Month Goes to Santana Wednesday, July 1st, 2043 There's something about a young rookie winning the M3L Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Rubén Santana, a 24-year-old starter for the Asheville Highlanders. In June, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 1.42 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 25.1 innings, fanned 16 and held opposing teams to a .215 average. His record this season is 6-0 in 8 starts and Santana has a 1.85 ERA. |
