Great Day for Corona, Hits for Cycle Sunday, September 27th, 2043 It was a day of mixed emotions for Claudio Corona. The Barton Springs Blues second baseman had little to celebrate, as one of the best games of his career was marred by a tough 18-17 loss to the Yakima Hops today. Corona hit for the cycle in defeat, collecting 4 hits in 7 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. The performance, however, was not enough to will the Blues past a red-hot Hops club. "Normally when you have a big game, it makes you feel great afterward," Corona said in a quiet clubhouse following the game. "But the loss takes a lot of that away. You just want to forget today and start over." For the day, Corona finished with 2 runs batted in and 4 runs scored to go with his 4 hits. Claudio Corona singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Cory Harmon in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
