No Late-Season Magic Coming: Asheville Out of Playoffs Tuesday, September 15th, 2043 Fans of the Asheville Highlanders will no doubt look back at a handful of games and wonder what could have been, if only a few things had gone differently. For now, the focus turns to next season, as the club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. The Highlanders have missed the playoffs 26 times in their 28 years as a M3L Double A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2037. In the last 10 seasons, the Highlanders have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
