Barlow and Bates Fight, Get Suspended Monday, September 14th, 2043 Richard Barlow of Yakima and Rob Bates of Marquette were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Barlow will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Bates was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. Barlow is batting .333 with 15 home runs and 46 RBIs this season. Bates has posted a 7-10 record for the year with a 4.72 ERA. Teams are hitting .245 against him and he has rung up 89 strikeouts in 129.2 innings. |
