Athletic Club KC Academy's Curran Suspended 2 Games Friday, August 21st, 2043 Ramiro Curran, left fielder for the Athletic Club KC Academy, will be getting a few days off the hard way -- a 2-game suspension for aggressively arguing with an umpire in a recent game with Toledo. After being called out on strikes, Curran stood toe-to-toe with the home plate umpire and hotly contested the call. Apparently he got too close to the arbiter and was ejected from the game, allegedly making contact with the bill of his cap. "I don't remember billing him. I don't remember doing that," Curran told BNN today. This year Curran is hitting .240 with 82 hits, 8 home runs, 45 RBIs and has scored 43 runs. |
