5-for-5 Day for Varela Thursday, July 16th, 2043 Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys left fielder Lorenzo Varela went 5-for-5 today and paced Syracuse to a 11-4 victory over the Kansas Rainbeaus at The Zoo in Syracuse. "Well, that was fun," Varela said following the game. Lorenzo Varela singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
