Ojíto's 21-Game Hit Streak Ends Thursday, June 4th, 2043 It just wasn't Ricardo Ojíto's day. The Kansas Rainbeaus took the 2-1 win today over the Hialeah Dodos, but the Dodos mound staff did what nobody else could -- they stopped the 21-game hitting streak of Rainbeaus left fielder Ricardo Ojíto. "We might have focused a bit too much on stopping Ojíto," Hialeah manager Zach King commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Rainbeaus have other hitters and they did their job today." Ojíto is currently hitting at a .303 pace with 3 home runs, 18 RBIs and has scored 16 times. |
