Mora Gets Award for Relief Work
Thursday, October 8th, 2043
Fernando Mora said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 24 years old.

But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys rising star has won the USSL Triple A Reliever of the Year Award for 2043.

He captured the award on the strength of his 1.84 ERA over 44 innings. He also had 21 saves in 42 relief appearances, 46 strikeouts and only 19 walks.

He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Mike Park of the Hialeah Dodos finished second in voting, while Millard Whipp of the Florida Men finished third.
