Oleastro's 24-Game Hitting Streak Ends
Sunday, July 19th, 2043
Hialeah right fielder Juan Oleastro experienced something against the Hamilton Coyotes he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game.
The Coyotes pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 24 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Dodos to a 9-5 victory at Coyote Wildlife Refuge.
"Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 24-game hitting streak," Oleastro joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories."
This year Oleastro is batting .314 with 5 home runs and 31 RBIs. In 60 games he has scored 36 times.
