Hit Streak Now at 25 for Shimizu
Saturday, June 6th, 2043
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.

Yoshiki Shimizu did it again, bashing 4 hits in the contest at Stark Stadium today. For the last 25 games in a row, the 22-year-old right fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Syracuse Starks beat the Hartford Pride 21-2 today.

"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Shimizu told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Syracuse clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day."
Yoshiki Shimizu grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Yong-chik Pak in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and struck out in the 7th.

This season Shimizu is batting .402 with 53 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 31 times and has 19 runs batted in.
