Urby's Hit Streak Soars to 30 Games Tuesday, August 25th, 2043 Fernando Urby's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 1-for-4 in a 8-2 Tortolita Drummers triumph over the Bakersfield Nobles at Jerome Grounds. The 26-year-old third baseman has now hit safely in 30 consecutive games for the Drummers. Fernando Urby struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a sac fly in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. This year Urby is batting .281 with 86 hits, 9 home runs, 49 RBIs, 21 walks, .325 OBP and has scored 40 runs. |
