Urby Boosts Hit Streak to 25 Games Wednesday, August 19th, 2043 Fernando Urby has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 26-year-old Tortolita Drummers third baseman extended his streak today to 25 games, going 1-for-5 as Tortolita got the best of the Alaskan Humpbacks at Drummers Ballpark, 7-6. "Fernando has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Drummers manager Barrett Abbott said. Fernando Urby flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. This year Urby is hitting at a .284 pace with 8 home runs and 46 RBIs. He has played in 70 games and scored 35 times. |
