Urby's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Tuesday, August 11th, 2043 Fernando Urby has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 26-year-old Tortolita Drummers third baseman extended his streak today to 20 games, going 1-for-3 as Tortolita got the best of the Jersey City Tritons at Drummers Ballpark, 6-1. "Fernando has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Drummers manager Barrett Abbott said. Fernando Urby hit an RBI single in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. This season Urby is hitting .273 with 72 hits, 8 home runs, 44 RBIs, scored 32 runs and played in 65 games. |
