Hitting Streak Still Alive for Biggs Friday, June 19th, 2043 The hitting streak for Ellenburg second baseman Alfred Howard Biggs now stands at 20 games, but the Fighting Dachsunds dropped today's contest 7-2 to the Sioux Falls Red Pandas. Biggs went 1-for-4 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 1 hit and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Alfred Howard Biggs singled in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. In 39 games this season Biggs is batting .298 with 50 hits and no home runs. He has scored 20 runs and driven in 28. |
