Menard's Third League Names Top Player Monday, August 17th, 2043 22-year-old Ivano Pohvisnev sent shock waves through Menard's Third League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Menard's Third League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Pohvisnev made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .750 average, 6 hits in 8 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBI. Where the Panama City Piranhas catcher goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Pohvisnev certainly made his mark last week. Pohvisnev is hitting .275 this year with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 91 at-bats, 13 walks and a .365 on-base percentage. Pohvisnev has played in 27 games. |
